Villagers carry on bread baking tradition in Muharram

Women in Lasjerd, a village in northcentral Semnan province, bake bread according to an old tradition every year during the first days of the month of Muharram.

They prepare and make the dough in the early morning, bake thousands of traditional bread in clay tandoors, and distribute them to the mourners.
